Record interest in leasing Landegode lighthouse

Kystverket has received a record number of applications after six lighthouses along the Norwegian coast were put up for lease. A total of 40 interested parties have applied, but Landegode lighthouse stands out. Eleven of the 40 applications are directed towards Landegode lighthouse, reports Bodø Nu.

“Landegode is a beautiful lighthouse with a tall lighthouse tower located in a scenic area. The proximity to Bodø has certainly also contributed to making this a popular lighthouse,” says Siv Senneset, senior advisor at Kystverket, to the newspaper.

Six lighthouses in Norway are available for lease to those who want to bring a concept to the site. How much does one have to pay in rent? Not a single krone.
