Boys are increasingly exposed to misogynistic content on social media, according to Mieli ry, a Finnish mental health organization. This exposure also occurs through digital games, which often perpetuate strong gender stereotypes.

Boys who feel lonely or excluded are particularly vulnerable to adopting these attitudes. The language and behavior models used in the digital world normalize harmful actions towards girls, extending beyond the screen.
