Healthcare workers demand higher salary increase in Faroe Islands
The Healthcare Workers Association of the Faroe Islands is demanding a significantly higher salary increase than what the Municipal Employers’ Association can provide.
Per Martin Gregersen, the chairman of the association, emphasized that healthcare workers are receiving the same framework and percentage increases as other unions. He pointed out that municipalities are reluctant to offer wage raises to healthcare workers.
The contract for the Healthcare Workers Association expired on October 1. A new meeting between the involved parties is scheduled for December 4.
