A man in his fifties has been remanded in custody for two weeks at the request of the local police for the purpose of investigating a series of thefts and burglaries in the region. Authorities are looking into the theft of several hundred kilograms of meat products, clothing, electronics, and more. The total value of the stolen goods amounts to millions of Icelandic krónur.
According to a statement from the local police, a significant portion of the stolen items was discovered at the man’s residence. Investigations are ongoing to ensure that the recovered goods are returned to their rightful owners.
