Stockholm files police report against Kris over alleged misappropriation of funds
The City of Stockholm has filed a police report against the nonprofit organization Kris (Criminals’ Revenge in Society) following suspicions that the group’s funds were misappropriated for personal expenses. Allegations suggest that money intended for community support was instead used for personal dining, parking fees, and fuel for private vehicles. In addition to these concerns, it was noted that over 10,000 kronor from the cash fund was unaccounted for.
In response to the accusations, officials from Kris have acknowledged the shortcomings within the organization and have taken steps to reimburse the misused funds. The financial discrepancies have raised questions about the organization’s governance and oversight, prompting further scrutiny from local authorities.
As the investigation unfolds, the city aims to ensure accountability among organizations that receive public funding, underscoring the importance of transparency and proper financial management in community initiatives.
