Yellow weather warning issued for snow impacts in Western Norway and Trøndelag

A yellow weather warning has been issued for snow affecting parts of Western Norway and Trøndelag, extending until Tuesday afternoon. On Monday, there were several traffic incidents reported in Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, and Rogaland, although none were serious.

Local authorities have noted that the slippery roads have contributed to numerous accidents, with Sindre Molnes from the police confirming the adverse driving conditions. He stated that while there have not been any significant injuries reported, various minor accidents have occurred, some resulting in slight injuries.

In Stjørdal, an accident on the E6 involved three vehicles but thankfully did not result in injuries. A separate front-end collision occurred on the E39 near Søvasskjølen, with both drivers escaping harm. Several heavy vehicles faced challenges on the slippery roads, including an accident on county road 65 and the E6 at Berkåk.

In Møre og Romsdal, two cars collided in Leikong, but there were no serious injuries. Additionally, a three-car accident took place in Vartdal, and a vehicle struck a lamp post in Magerholm. There was also an incident where a vehicle veered off the road in Kvanne as well as another accident hitting the guardrail in Åndal, Gjemnes.

In Rogaland, emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Tengsveien in Egersund. The individual involved is being checked by health personnel but appears uninjured. The road conditions remain hazardous, with multiple reports of slick surfaces across Vestland county prompting action from road maintenance crews.
