Mikkelsen honored with prestigious pedagogical award in Uppsala

Jonhard Mikkelsen, director of Sprotin, expressed his surprise upon receiving the prestigious pedagogical award from the Royal Gustavus Adolphus Academy in Uppsala last week.

Mikkelsen was honored for his significant contributions to education in the Faroese language. The award ceremony took place at the Riddarsalen in Uppsala, attended by approximately 200 guests.

Accompanying Mikkelsen at the event was his wife, Maibritt. As part of the recognition, he received a prize of 60,000 Swedish kronor, acknowledging his commitment to educational initiatives surrounding the Faroese language.
