Eyðstein Zachariasen elected new mayor of Sunda municipality in recent elections

Eyðstein Zachariasen has been selected as the new mayor of the Sunda municipality following the recent elections. He was the leading candidate on list C, which successfully secured seven seats in the municipal council.

The other party, known as list B or the Women’s List, gained four seats. A coalition has been established, giving Zachariasen support as mayor, particularly noteworthy is the agreement made by three representatives from list C with the Women’s List to form this majority.

Zachariasen emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in his new role.

Efforts to obtain comments from Jógvan Kruse, the current mayor who is not part of the new coalition, have not been successful.
