In a recent local election, the incumbent mayor of Nes Municipality, Súni í Hjøllum, secured a significant victory, garnering 339 votes—250 more than the candidate who placed second. This triumph showcases Hjøllum’s solid position in the fast-growing community located on the eastern side of Skálafjørður.
