Vestmanna welcomes new mayor Sára Jógvansdóttir after successful election

Vestmanna is set to welcome a new mayor, likely to be Sára Jógvansdóttir. With the votes now counted, it is clear that she has received the highest number of votes.

Out of a total of 772 ballots, Sára Jógvansdóttir secured 145 votes, while her closest competitor garnered just seven votes fewer, totaling 138.

A candidate list was put forward for the municipal council in Vestmanna, which consists of seven representatives.

The newly elected municipal council in Vestmanna has now been determined.
