President Stubb to represent Finland at UN Climate Conference in Baku
Today, President Alexander Stubb is set to represent Finland at the UN Climate Conference in Baku. He will take part in the high-level summit of state leaders during the COP29 event that kicked off in the capital of Azerbaijan yesterday.
Discussions at the conference will focus on funding for climate initiatives in developing countries, with the aim of advancing the objectives outlined in the Paris Agreement. The climate conference is scheduled to continue until the end of next week, with President Stubb leading Finland’s delegation during the first week. For the second week, the country’s delegation will be headed by Environmental and Climate Minister Kai Mykkänen.
