Three Swedish nationals were arrested today following a close collaboration between Danish, Swedish, and Spanish law enforcement agencies for their involvement in recruiting young individuals for gang conflicts in Sweden and Denmark. Copenhagen Police announced the arrests on the social media platform X.

According to authorities, the arrested suspects have recruited individuals engaged in shootings, attempted murders, and arms-related crimes. Europol participated in the investigation, tracking digital evidence and coordinating intelligence, which ultimately led to the identification of the three arrested individuals in Sweden.

Danish police have not provided further details on the case and have referred inquiries to a press release from police in Sweden. As a result, it remains unclear what specific cases the three suspects are connected to.

Linda H. Staaf, the national chief of Europol, stated in the press release, “It is thanks to a very good cooperation between authorities in Sweden, Denmark, and Spain that the arrests were possible.”

The story is still developing.
