Travelers increase at Vágar Airport in the Faroe Islands

In October, the number of travelers at the airport increased by 2.8 percent compared to the same month last year. This makes October 2024 the best October recorded at the airport to date.

This year, October showed a 5.3 percent improvement compared to October 2019, which was before the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of November 1, there were nearly 14,000 more travelers than on the same date last year, marking a growth of 3.6 percent.

Currently, only Atlantic Airways and FarCargo regularly operate flights from the Vágar Airport during the winter season.
