Finn Spring invests over eight million euros to expand production facility in Toholampi
Finn Spring, a beverage manufacturer, is expanding its production facility in Toholampi, Central Ostrobothnia. The company is investing over eight million euros in a new high-capacity bottling line scheduled for completion next summer in the Härkäneva area. According to Administrative Director Virpi Ali-Haapala, this marks the largest single investment in the company’s history.
Ali-Haapala explains that, while previous investments have been proportional to revenue, this one stands out in both monetary value and scale. The investment is expected to facilitate significant revenue growth as the company sees potential for expansion with certain clients.
The new bottling line will substantially enhance production capacity, which is particularly crucial during the summer peak months when demand spikes due to hot weather. In previous years, the company struggled to meet beverage supply demands during heatwaves. “Now we can better prepare for the summers ahead. The new line will increase peak capacity by about one-third and provide additional storage space,” Ali-Haapala noted.
In addition to the bottling line, Finn Spring’s automated high-bay warehouse will add 6,000 new pallet spaces, bringing the total capacity to 21,000 pallets of finished products. The company also operates bottling and canning lines in Lestijärvi, but plans to centralize all bottling operations in Toholampi while canning will remain in Lestijärvi.
Last year, Finn Spring’s revenue reached 38.4 million euros, producing over 100 million liters of beverages annually. The company employs around 100 people and includes the Swedish subsidiary Guttsta Källa in its group.
