U.S. bombers operate in Finnish airspace as part of NATO cooperative activities

Today, U.S. bombers are operating in Finnish airspace, according to Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen. He stated on social media platform X that this activity represents normal cooperative operations within a NATO member nation and serves to demonstrate the fundamentals of collective defense, deterrence, and protection.

In July, Finnish airspace saw the presence of two B-52 bombers and three air tankers, accompanied by a Finnish Hornet fighter jet.
