Weather conditions remain warm in Iceland despite approaching storms
The weather in Iceland today will bear similarities to yesterday’s conditions, with warm temperatures continuing in many areas. However, strong winds are expected along the western coast as the day progresses. It will be dry for most of the morning, but rain is forecasted for the evening.
A yellow weather warning is in effect for Breiðafjörður due to strong winds or storms expected between 1 PM and 9 PM, prompting drivers to exercise caution due to sudden gusts. Elsewhere, wind speeds are anticipated to reach 10–18 meters per second.
Temperature readings will remain in the double digits, ranging from 7 to 16 degrees Celsius throughout the day, with the warmest conditions expected in the northern parts of the country. As evening approaches, increased precipitation is likely, with either rain or drizzle expected.
Residents are advised to keep hats and gloves handy, as temperatures will drop significantly tomorrow, reaching between 1 and 8 degrees Celsius.
