Fire breaks out again at Remeo’s waste treatment facility in Rusk, Tampere

A large pile of energy waste is ablaze once again at Remeo’s waste treatment facility in Rusk, Tampere, according to the Pirkanmaa Rescue Service. The fire is contained within a building that spans over 2,000 square meters. Firefighting efforts are currently underway, and there have been no reported injuries.
Initially, the rescue service was alerted to a medium-sized building fire, but the situation escalated rapidly. The Pirkanmaa Rescue Service plans to provide further updates later in the morning.
This marks the third incident in a short period in which the fire department has responded to a blaze at the same energy waste pile. Units were dispatched to combat a fire at the facility just yesterday. More information will follow as the situation develops.
