Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen authorizes bulk procurement of field radios from Bittium Wireless Oy

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen has authorized the Defense Forces to commence bulk procurement of domestic field radios from Bittium Wireless Oy, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense. This bulk procurement is part of an additional procurement reservation outlined in a contract signed in 2018.

Minister Häkkänen emphasized that this acquisition will enhance both Finnish command system expertise and the capabilities of the Defense Forces. According to the terms of the additional procurement reservation, the Defense Forces can acquire field radios and their accessories, training, and system management for use across all branches of the military.
