Court to deliver verdict on murder case in Vantaa

The Eastern Uusimaa District Court is set to deliver a verdict today regarding a man accused of murdering his wife in Vantaa. The incident occurred in June when the man fatally stabbed his wife at their home in Tikkurila, Vantaa. At the time of the attack, their three underage children were present in the apartment.

According to the prosecution, the 49-year-old man acted out of jealousy and killed his wife due to fears that a potential divorce would lead to a loss of honor for himself and his family. However, the man has denied the murder charge as well as the motive related to honor, admitting instead to committing manslaughter.
