Kristiansen extends contract with Györ amid pregnancy news

The contract includes an option to extend it for an additional year, which the club has confirmed on its website.

“I knew that I wanted to continue my career here, and I am pleased that I reached an agreement with the club management. I feel very comfortable in Györ,” Kristiansen stated.

Kristiansen is currently pregnant with her second child and will miss the European Championship taking place in November and December. The 34-year-old has been part of Györ since 2018, having previously played for Vipers, Glassverket, and Midtjylland.

She has won the Champions League with Györ twice and has also secured gold medals in the Olympics, World Cup, and European Championship with the national team.

“Veronica has an incredible work ethic, is diligent, and is a tough player,” said Peter Endrődi, the managing director of Györ.
