Fríðgerð Joensen introduces Faroese hair wigs processed in China

Tuesday 29th October 2024 on 12:13 in Faroe Islands

Chinese hair is known for its coarse and straight texture, while Indian hair tends to be finer yet very lustrous and dark. Both types of hair must undergo a chemical treatment before they can be used for wigs in the Faroe Islands.

This is why Fríðgerð Joensen, owner of Salon Fríðgerð, is excited to offer a new option: wigs made from Faroese hair, which she sends to China for processing.

“It’s something entirely different that I can offer my clients now,” she says.

The hair for these wigs comes from both her own clients and other hair salons.
