Hightrust.id app launched in Finland for enhanced online identification

The Suomi.fi online service can now be accessed not only through bank credentials and mobile certificates but also via an application. The newly launched Hightrust.id app utilizes the national identification feature embedded in every ID card, specifically the NFC chip, to verify users’ identities.

To use the Hightrust.id app, individuals must possess an ID card issued after August 31, 2021, that contains this chip. The app is completely free for users and is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

Hightrust.id is developed by the Finnish company Megical, and users can find instructions for using the app on the Suomi.fi website.
