Confusion remains over Daylight Saving Time adjustments in Scandinavia

Despite the introduction of Daylight Saving Time in 1980, there remains considerable confusion about how to adjust clocks during each change. Many people rely on a helpful rule related to outdoor activities. Specifically, when it’s time to switch to Daylight Saving Time, one should move the grill, outdoor furniture, and clocks forward. Conversely, as winter approaches, both clocks and summer items should be turned back.
At 2:59 AM on the upcoming Sunday, the clocks will be set back to 2:00 AM, resulting in a 25-hour day. In five months, Daylight Saving Time will end, and the clocks will jump forward again during the night between March 29 and 30, 2025.
