Poll shows Independence Party fourth in Iceland ahead of 2024 elections

In the latest poll conducted by Prósents, the Independence Party has been identified as the fourth largest political party in Iceland, garnering only 13.3% of voter support. The poll indicates that the Social Democratic Party leads with 24.2%, followed by the Centre Party at 16.1% and the Reform Party at 15.0%.

Support for the People’s Party stands at 11.4%, while both the Pirate Party and the Progressive Party have an equal share of 5.8%. It appears that the Left-Green Movement risks falling out of parliamentary representation, as only 2.4% of respondents indicated they would vote for that party. Support for the Socialist Party is at 4.3%, and the newly established Democracy Party, led by Arnar Þórs Jónsson, remains at 1.1%.
