New educational program in pedagogy to launch in the Faroe Islands next autumn

A new educational program in pedagogy, set to be offered next autumn in the Faroe Islands, will be available through distance learning.

The program is organized by a university in eastern Norway, with representatives recently visiting the Faroe Islands to discuss the opportunities for studying pedagogy remotely.

A brief information session is currently taking place at Seglloftin in Tvøroyri.

The goal is to allow Faroese students to pursue the Norwegian program without the need to leave the country frequently. This new distance learning initiative aims to keep students connected to the local job market while they study.

Today’s event is in collaboration with Morten Hust Petersen, the leader of the early childhood education sector in the Vestmanna municipality, who has been working to establish this new remote educational option for the Faroe Islands.
