A 30-year-old woman has been charged with illegal coercion and violation of privacy against a member of the Danish parliament. According to the indictment, the woman allegedly threatened to disclose personal information about the parliamentarian to coerce them into meeting her at a café in Copenhagen. She is also accused of trying to exploit the parliamentarian’s political influence for the benefit of an organization she runs.

The threats reportedly involved sending intimate photographs of the parliamentarian and communications between the two parties. During their café meeting, the woman allegedly stated that she would expose every detail of the parliamentarian’s writings.

The parliamentarian has requested a media ban to prevent the publication of identifying information. This request has not yet been addressed as of Thursday. The violation of privacy charge pertains to the woman allegedly showing an intimate image of the parliamentarian to another individual. Additionally, she is charged with sharing messages related to the politician’s personal life, specifically emailing a journalist correspondence involving the parliamentarian.

The woman is also facing charges of stalking a doctor and attempting illegal coercion against a third individual. The stalking incidents are reported to have occurred between March 2022 and August 2024. In December 2022, the woman was issued a restraining order preventing her from contacting the doctor, which she allegedly violated by sending Instagram messages and spreading rumors on websites and social media.

The third victim reportedly faced threats of private information disclosure unless they signed a statement regarding the accused stalked doctor. The case is set to begin in Copenhagen District Court on Friday.
