Traffic on Tjørnuvíkarvegur delayed by landslide near Líðini in Faroe Islands

Traffic on Tjørnuvíkarvegur will not reopen until around midday due to a landslide that occurred early this morning. Landsverk, the national infrastructure authority, deployed excavators to the site, but the considerable amount of debris is causing delays in the cleanup process.

The landslide occurred in Líðini, and Landsverk anticipates that the road will be open to traffic again in approximately two hours.
