Stora Enso reports six percent revenue increase for third quarter in Finland

Metsa company Stora Enso reported a six percent increase in revenue for the third quarter from July to September, amounting to approximately €2.3 billion. The company’s adjusted operating profit rose significantly to €175 million, up from €21 million in the same period last year. Stora Enso anticipates that this year will show considerable improvement in profitability compared to the previous year, forecasting a significantly higher adjusted operating profit for the full year.
Elevator manufacturer Kone also experienced growth, with a 0.1 percent increase in revenue during the same quarter, reaching about €2.8 billion. The adjusted operating profit for Kone was around €319 million, while the company reported a 4.4 percent rise in orders during the third quarter, with the total value of received orders nearing €2 billion.
Telecommunications operator Telia improved its financial results, showing a 0.9 percent increase in comparable revenue for the third quarter compared to the same timeframe last year, now totaling approximately SEK 21.7 billion or around €1.9 billion. The company’s comparable adjusted EBITDA grew by 1.7 percent, amounting to about SEK 8.5 billion or around €0.7 billion.
