A public meeting will be held at the community house in Tjørnuvík next Thursday.
The agenda includes a proposal from Landverki for permission to construct a tunnel between Haldórsvík and Tjørnuvík, along with access roads on either side of the tunnel and a worksite at the tunnel entrance in Haldórsvík.
Kristjan Martin Joensen, the commissioner, has called the meeting on behalf of the nature conservation committee.
Property owners, users, or others with vested interests are invited to attend the meeting. Alternatively, they can submit their viewpoints in writing, according to Kristjan Martin Joensen.
Those who have received a meeting invitation but are unable to attend still have the right to send their comments to the committee in writing.
Any written discussions must be submitted to the commissioner no later than the day of the meeting, which is next Thursday.
