A kindergarten in Reykjavík, Mánagarður, has been closed following the confirmation of E. coli infections in three children. Parents have been advised to seek emergency medical care if their children exhibit symptoms such as diarrhea or fever.

Yesterday evening, parents of students at the kindergarten were informed of the situation. It has been reported that additional children from the school have also been taken to the emergency department at Landspítali, awaiting confirmation of possible infections.

Due to the outbreak, the school was closed as a precautionary measure. Health authorities have been notified of the case to further investigate and monitor the situation.

Parents are urged to remain vigilant regarding their children’s health and seek medical assistance if any concerning symptoms arise.
