Two men arrested after locking themselves in women’s restroom in downtown Reykjavik

The police in the Reykjavik metropolitan area responded to an unusual situation where two men locked themselves inside a women’s restroom in a downtown store. According to police reports, the men remained inside for two hours, refusing to exit despite requests from staff.

When officers arrived at the scene, they managed to escort the men out. However, within an hour, the pair had once again locked themselves in a restroom at a different location in downtown Reykjavik. This time, the police arrested them and took them to a police station, where they will be held overnight in a cell “until they are in a condition to manage themselves,” as stated by the authorities.
