Fire breaks out in Tuusula, deceased individual found in storage building

A building fire broke out on Lonkerotie in Tuusula on Tuesday morning. The Eastern Uusimaa Police reported to Ilta-Sanomat that a deceased individual has been discovered in the storage building that caught fire. In a statement around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, authorities indicated that there were no known injuries at this time.

The fire department received initial reports of the blaze just before 8:30 AM. When they arrived on the scene, the building was already fully engulfed in flames, and part of the roof had collapsed.

According to subsequent updates, the nearly 100-square-meter storage building was completely destroyed in the fire. Firefighting efforts continued until around noon. Units from the fire departments in Järvenpää, Hyvinkää, and Kerava-Tuusula responded to the incident.

The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire and the scene of the incident.
