After years of silence, the Finnish band Ultra Bra is set to take the stage at Kirjurinluoto in Pori next July. The group’s performance will take place during the Pori Jazz festival on Friday, July 18, 2025. Founded in 1994, Ultra Bra released five albums before disbanding at the peak of their career in 2001.
Their hiatus was only briefly interrupted by a performance at Pekka Haavisto’s benefit concert in 2012, as well as festival appearances in 2017 and three sold-out arena concerts. The upcoming concert at Pori Jazz marks a significant part of Ultra Bra’s resurgence, which also includes two shows at the Olympic Stadium.
The band expresses confidence in the demand for their return. Timeless classic tracks like “Sinä lähdit pois,” “Minä suojelen sinua kaikelta,” and “Savanni nukahtaa” continue to resonate, being played on the radio and sung at karaoke. “I’ve realized how meaningful these songs are to people. They bring joy even after many years,” said Terhi Kokkonen in a previous interview with Yle.
In addition to their Pori Jazz performance, Ultra Bra will also be appearing at Ruisrock and Qstock during the summer.
