Man flips car while evading police in Laugarás neighborhood of Reykjavík

A man flipped his car while attempting to evade police in the Laugarás neighborhood of Reykjavík. He is suspected of driving under the influence and has been placed in a holding cell, according to a morning report from the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police.

In another incident within the same area, a driver was fined for operating a vehicle without ever having obtained a license.

The police are also investigating an assault that occurred in Lower Breiðholt; the victim sustained minor injuries and sought treatment at an emergency room.

Additionally, thefts from stores in Kópavogur and Hafnarfjörður were addressed on-site, and another individual was detained after causing minor damage to property in downtown Reykjavík while inebriated.
