This year’s TV campaign, marking its 50th edition, is dedicated to supporting the Children’s Cancer Society. Preliminary figures indicate that the fundraising efforts across the country have generated over 80 million kroner before the final tally.

In Drammen, parliamentary president Masud Gharahkhani participated as usual, collecting donations door-to-door in his neighborhood. He expressed his observations, stating, “I have only encountered positive and kind people who are engaged in this collective effort. It’s a tough financial time for many, yet so many still open their doors and contribute to the TV campaign, which is both moving and wonderful.”

Prior to his political career, Gharahkhani worked as a radiographer in hospitals and frequently interacted with cancer patients referred for examination. He reflected on his experience, noting, “You never leave a conversation with a child fighting cancer unaffected. That’s why it was important for me to support this year’s TV campaign. Every other day, a child in Norway is diagnosed with cancer; this impacts far too many families.”
