One person seriously injured after ATV accident in Trondheim, Norway
One person is seriously injured and has been airlifted to St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim. Two others have been transported by ambulance to the same hospital, according to authorities on Sunday morning.
All three individuals were riding an ATV when it lost control on a turn and plunged into a river. The fall is described as a minimum of ten meters down into the water. The victims remained in the river but were conscious when emergency services retrieved them and brought them back to safety.
Both air ambulances from Trondheim and Dombås were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The individual who sustained the most severe injuries was flown to St. Olavs Hospital, while the other two were taken by standard ambulance.
The condition of the other two victims is currently unknown. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with officials stating that it is too early to provide insights about what led to the incident. The police were alerted about the accident at 2:14 AM. The investigation is ongoing and will continue throughout the morning.
