Sigurður Ingi also shared insights on the current political landscape, highlighting the Progressive Party’s challenges reflected in recent polls, which show the party struggling in the South Constituency. He sees the nomination of Halla Hrund as crucial for ensuring that the party has a strong voice in parliament and expresses his readiness to support her as he seeks the second position.
Overall, both candidates aim to strengthen the party’s influence and advocate for the sustainable development of Iceland’s resources and communities ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 30.
