Weather warnings issued for Southeast and Westfjords in Iceland

Weather warnings have been issued for the Southeast and the Westfjords in Iceland due to anticipated weather conditions. A strengthening north-easterly wind is expected, bringing light rain or sleet in some areas, with wind speeds reaching 10 to 18 meters per second after noon.

Yellow weather warnings will come into effect in the Southeast at 11 AM and will remain until 7 PM. Strong winds and storm conditions are predicted for this region.

In the Westfjords, yellow warnings will start at 6 PM tonight and last until 1 AM. This region can expect northern snowstorms, with rain at lower elevations and snowfall in the highlands and mountainous areas.
