Major renovations planned for Venjingarskúlin and Læraraskúlin in Tórshavn

Venjingarskúlin and Læraraskúlin, both under the ownership and use of Fróðskaparsetrið, are set to undergo major renovations.

Selmar Nielsen, director of the architectural firm SNA, which designed the winning proposal for the renovation of the old school building at Frælsinum in Tórshavn, states that the new framework will support learning, research, and development.

There are plans to enhance and preserve portions of the old school building, similar to what was done with the former municipal school, now known as Finsen, which was converted into student housing.
