Late last night, a driver was apprehended in Glyvrar for exceeding the speed limit by driving at 75 km/h in a zone where the limit is 50 km/h. As a result, his driving license was endorsed.

However, the individual had only held a driving license for about a year and had already received one previous endorsement. Consequently, he was handed a driving ban.

While the police were investigating this driver, another vehicle sped past. The police attempted to stop the speeding vehicle but were initially unsuccessful.

Eventually, the police managed to catch up with both the speeding vehicle and its driver. It was discovered that the driver did not possess a valid license for that particular vehicle. Additionally, there were several issues with the vehicle, which was subsequently seized.

In another incident yesterday afternoon, a fire broke out in an excavator in Argir, causing significant damage to the machinery.

Later that day, a driver was stopped in the capital, Tórshavn, and it was revealed that he was under the influence of drugs, as confirmed by the duty officer at the police station.
