MP Timo Vornanen calls for investigation into incident at Bar Ihku in Helsinki

Member of Parliament Timo Vornanen has requested further investigation into the events at Bar Ihku, following a media statement released on Wednesday. Vornanen is under suspicion for allegedly discharging a firearm and pointing it at two individuals outside the Ihku restaurant in Helsinki during an incident in April.

“Media has previously reported that there was some sort of ‘scuffle or wrestling’ at Bar Ihku that night, in which I was involved. I believe these events have not been thoroughly investigated in the preliminary inquiry, and I am now requesting additional scrutiny into the matter,” Vornanen stated.

He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive and meticulous investigation, citing the necessity of legal safeguarding and the smooth progress of the criminal process.
