Denmark’s competition authority approves HKFoods’ sale of operations
Denmark’s competition authority has approved food company HKFoods’ corporate restructuring involving the sale of its operations in Denmark. Plukon Food Group and HKFoods announced that the transaction is expected to be finalized by the end of October. The company previously disclosed that the debt-free sale price is €44.6 million. As a result of this sale, HKFoods will cease its operations in Denmark. The company has also divested its Swedish operations earlier. According to HKFoods, the purpose of these divestments is to strengthen its balance sheet and refocus on its remaining businesses.
