Topi Borg engages schools in Tampere ahead of “Kirjolla” season two premiere on Yle Areena
Topi Borg from Tampere has had a busy autumn, engaging in various speaking events. He has visited schools and venues, including a recent appearance with his sister Sointu, discussing topics like employment and the advantages of hiring diverse individuals without hindrance. Following these events, many attendees, including special education teachers, expressed excitement about the upcoming second season of “Kirjolla,” a series that follows the lives of four individuals on the autism spectrum. This popular show is set to return this fall with new episodes featuring Borg alongside characters Leena, Mico, and Vilhelmiina.
Borg noted that creating the second season was considerably easier than the first. He aims to raise awareness that being different isn’t an obstacle but part of everyday life. He also shared that their trip to Madrid was a fun experience, funded by the show’s production.
In addition to filming, Borg has signed a publishing deal for a book titled “Normaalisuusrodeo,” expected to be completed and on sale by next spring. He anticipates possibly starting pre-sales later this year or next year’s winter. The book will provide a nonlinear autobiography and a collection of thoughts.
During a recent appearance on Radio Suomi, Borg expressed reflections on his life journey, commenting on how writing is like “the dance of infinity.” At 30, he feels he has achieved something remarkable by being part of a series that resonates with many viewers. Despite his television success, he continues to work in retail, acknowledging the uncertainty of fame’s longevity.
Borg is also looking forward to the Night Visions Film Festival and hopes to attend the Tallinn Film Festival again. The second season of “Kirjolla” premieres on Yle Areena on October 28.
