Low-pressure system moves northeast between Iceland and the Faroe Islands
A low-pressure system is moving northeast between Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Its precipitation area reached the East Fjords last night but is expected to dissipate quickly. Today, a northeast breeze or cold winds are anticipated. Light snow showers may occur in the northeast and on the northwest peninsulas, but there will be good visibility towards the sun in the West. Temperatures will gradually warm up.
Tomorrow, a more consistent easterly and northeast wind is expected, with possibly strong gusts along the southeast coast in the afternoon. A weather front will move in from the south, bringing rain or sleet in various regions, particularly less so in the West. Temperatures will range from 1 to 8 degrees Celsius, with the warmest readings south of the highlands.
