Unusual theft targets senior citizen in Kemi, Finland

An unusual theft occurred in Kemi, Finland, on Friday when a senior citizen was targeted. The incident took place around noon. According to police reports, a man let a woman and a girl into his home after the woman requested that the girl be allowed to use the restroom. Once inside, the man went to the kitchen, and after the duo left, he realized his wallet had been moved.

The wallet had been tampered with, and both his bank card and cash were reported missing. Crime Commissioner Miska Sillanpää noted the rarity of such cases, especially with a child involved. He added, “Unfortunately, elderly people are often chosen as victims of these crimes.”

The police have not yet been able to locate the woman or the girl involved in the incident.
