Framherji sells trawler Gamli Jupiter for 43 million Danish kroner in Fuglafjørður

Framherji, a fishing company based in Fuglafjørður, has sold its trawler, Gamli Jupiter, to a newly established limited company of the same name for 43 million Danish kroner. The buyer, Jaczon Trawler, is based in the Netherlands and has set up operations in Hósvík.

The board of the new company is chaired by Arnout Langerak from The Hague, while Gunnbjørn Joensen from Hósvík serves as the managing director.

According to sources, Gamli Jupiter currently holds no fishing license. The trawler was built in Norway in 1994 and was brought to the Faroe Islands in the summer of 2007.
