In the latest weather update from Iceland, a low-pressure system east of Jan Mayen is directing a northwesterly wind across the country, with speeds reaching 10-15 m/s in the eastern regions today. Most areas will experience a gentle breeze, while sporadic snow showers are expected in the northern parts of the country. Meanwhile, the southern regions will enjoy bright and beautiful weather, with temperatures hovering around the freezing point during the day.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, more partly cloudy skies are expected, accompanied by a decrease in wind strength in the eastern areas. However, snow showers may linger along the west coast, although forecasts vary on the extent to which these will move inland. The overall weather will remain cold.

By Sunday, a weather front is anticipated to approach from the south, bringing an easterly wind. However, there is considerable uncertainty regarding wind speeds and rainfall for that day. Forecast models, nonetheless, agree that temperatures are expected to rise significantly in the coming week.
