KRP completes investigation into suspected war crimes involving Voislav Torden in Finland

The National Bureau of Investigation (KRP) has completed its preliminary investigation into suspected war crimes committed in Ukraine in 2014. One individual is suspected of severe war crimes and other military offenses, according to a KRP statement. The case involves Voislav Torden, the former commander of the Rusitš military group, who was arrested in Finland in August 2023.

The KRP has stated that the investigation was carried out in collaboration with the Security Police and the Defense Forces, as well as various international agencies. The preliminary investigation materials are now set to be forwarded to the prosecutors, who will assess whether to bring charges. The deadline for filing charges is October 31.
