Finland is set to establish a Space Situational Awareness Centre, according to the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The government has decided to propose funding for the creation of this centre. The funding will be included in the proposal for this year’s third supplementary budget.

The Space Situational Awareness Centre will produce a comprehensive picture of space situations in collaboration with Finland’s partner countries and international organizations responsible for space surveillance. The centre will generate and share situational information with defense forces and other authorities.
