Two traffic accidents reported in North Iceland with emergency services dispatched to Kópaskers and Hjalteyri

Two traffic accidents occurred in North Iceland on the northeastern road between Ásbyrgis and Kópaskers during the afternoon. Emergency services, including three police cars and ambulances, were dispatched to the scene, but they had not arrived when police were contacted for updates. At this time, it remains unclear whether there were any injuries reported.

Additionally, a vehicle rollover took place near Hjalteyri, north of Akureyri, later in the day. Snowfall in the northern regions has affected road conditions, creating slippery surfaces and snow-covered areas on many roads.
